Leadership Development

Better leadership doesn't happen by accident

You need leaders who know what to do when leadership gets hard

Leading others isn't just about having a vision or inspiring a team. It's what happens in the messy middle: the difficult conversations, the underperforming employees, the competing priorities, the conflict you can't ignore, or the change nobody asked for.

I help organizations develop leaders who can handle those moments with confidence, clarity, and intention.

Through practical, engaging leadership development programs, I help leaders build the skills and the mindset they need to lead effectively in the real world.

What does your team need?

Maybe you're dealing with technical experts who don't "do this people stuff."

Maybe your team is sitting on a difficult conversation that's about to explode.

Maybe leaders don't respect boundaries, hoard the work, or don't foster trust.

Being good at the job isn't the same as being good at leading people.

Don't worry - I can help!

Leadership development looks very different depending on what's happening in your organization, which is why I don't offer cookie-cutter courses that won't meet your needs.

We can focus on:

  • Communication - saying what needs to be said in a way that others can hear it

  • Accountability - setting realistic expectations, giving feedback, and holding people accountable without micromanaging

  • Difficult Conversations - addressing the issues that won't magically solve themselves

  • Conflict - navigating disagreement productively instead of haphazardly

  • Mindset - identifying the assumptions and reactions that get in the way

  • Motivation - engaging people with what actually drives performance

  • Boundaries - leading effectively without being a pushover or a tyrant

  • Change - navigating uncertainty while moving the work forward

  • Trust - building relationships that turn into followerships

Why Kate?

Leadership development with a little personality

I've spent 15+ years in corporate learning and development, designing and delivering programs that help people become better managers, communicators, and leaders.

I'm also an ICF Professional Certified Coach, facilitator, trainer, Yale graduate, and former NYC actress.

That combination means I bring together behavioral science, adult learning, coaching, facilitation, storytelling, and a very practical understanding of what it's actually like to manage people.

And yes, I use humor.  Because leadership is serious, but leadership development doesn't have to be deadly.

What clients say

Client Logos _edited.jpg

Kate provided excellent examples in all scenarios, which was incredibly useful in distilling concepts.  She also has great energy! - Sammy, NYC

Taking a "big thinking" brief and developing an agenda that met all our objectives was impressive. But what was even more impressive was her ability to engage the group from the start and in doing that getting everyone to open up and be an active participant. - Kevin Flagg

You kept it interesting by including examples from our company.  You tailored the class to what we thought useful. – Andy, NYC
